Ballooning Access – COVID-19 Statement
Given the current advice by the UK Government we have taken the difficult but appropriate step in this situation to postpone the commencement of our flying season.
Our primary focus is on the safety and well being of our passengers and staff which is why we are standing down any flying activities. We will review this again on the 15th June and assess the duration of the postponement period in line with the situation as it develops.
We understand that a balloon flight is likely the least of your priorities right now, but in order to relieve any stress of worrying about an expiring flight voucher in the coming months we have automatically extended all valid flight vouchers by the duration our flying activities are postponed. You can still purchase a voucher from our site as normal and it will be valid for 12 months from when we commence flying.
We will continue to monitor the global situation and advice from the UK Government and release further information in due course when we are able to safely resume flying.
We are aware that some private hot air ballooning flying has recommenced throughout the country. Government advice for general aviation stipulates that this can only be done with participants from the same household only. Until the Government deem it safe for other households to meet for aviation purposes we will remain on the ground and protect the safety of our team and our passengers.
We look forward to taking you into the skies in the hopefully near future, in the mean time from all of us at Ballooning Access, stay safe.
