Wheelchair Accessible Hot Air Balloon Basket

Exclusive Ballooning and Ballooning Access are proud to offer two wheelchair-accessible hot air balloon baskets, making the wonderful experience of hot air balloon flight available to those who often would be unable to fly.

Our first smaller basket can accommodate up to four standing passengers, or a wheelchair and one standing passenger.

The second much larger basket brings the accessibility of hot air balloon flights to larger groups (up to eight standing passengers) or five standing passengers alongside a wheelchair. The basket, originally custom-made to fly Stephen Hawking alongside his wife, has a custom ramp and compartment for ease of access.

For safety reasons, the baskets are much larger and taller than a normal hot air balloon basket, as can be seen from the below pictures. We would encourage all passengers to visit our site in the heart of the Vale of Berkeley to view the baskets prior to booking.
